Yolton Stars in 4-1 Cincinnati Win
|
The Cincinnati Packers beat the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 4-1. Cincinnati starter Bob Yolton pitched a gem. The Bluebirds, at 6-13, have stumbled out of the gate.
Yolton ran roughshod over the Brooklyn lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 2-1 on the season.
"Bob is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch.
