Game 5 was big. So was Ken Morrison.

The Dallas starter rose to the occasion at Wolverine Field today, leading the Wranglers to a crucial 5-1 victory over the Detroit Wolverines. Morrison threw 9.0 innings allowing 1 runs as the Wranglers won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for Rodney Holt, the six-time All-Star . Holt contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Dallas up, 2-0.

Holt told a Dallas Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 10th , 1967 at Bluff Park in Dallas.
