Houston Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Houston Drillers started the Divisional Round in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the San Francisco Seagulls in a walk-off. Houston won, 4-3, behind a good day from starter Danny Prentice. The right-hander threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which gave the Drillers a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ed Shofner in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 18-year veteran Mark Gaynor to win the game for Houston. The home crowd went nuts.

"Danny gave us everything he had," said Houston manager Steven Palps.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sam Houston Field in Houston.
