In a crucial game, the Pittsburgh Industrials put on their best show, beating the Dallas Wranglers by a final score of 5-4 today. Rodney Holt hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Pittsburgh and Dallas are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

Carlos Chavez dealt the Wranglers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pittsburgh leading 3-2, Chavez, who finished 5th in the NBL in extra base hits with 57 in 1967, hit a 3-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"I felt good up there," said Chavez. "I saw the ball well."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Bluff Park in Dallas.
