Almost There: San Francisco On Cusp of DR Triumph After 5-1 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of shortstop Chuck Roberts, the San Francisco Seagulls got a road win against the Montreal Habitants, 5-1, in Game 4 of the Divisional Round. Roberts was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Seagulls, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

San Francisco used a clutch at-bat from Scott Wagner to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Seagulls ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Seagulls manager Al Borie, "I like our chances."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at LaSalle Stadium in Montreal.
