Closing In: Atlanta Nears LCS With Dramatic Game 5 Win
The Atlanta Generals needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the League Championship Series. The Generals got took the 5-4 win against the Houston Drillers in a walk-off at Atlantic Station Field. Atlanta third baseman John Darnell was 3-3 with a triple and a double. The win gives the Generals a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Atlanta trailing 4-3, Richie Lord hit a fastball from Tom McAteer to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Generals had a walk-off win.

Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie called it "a pretty good win."

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Sam Houston Field in Houston.
