Industrials Even With Captains After Home Win
Pittsburgh starter Dennis Visco turned in an exceptional performance at Allegheny Field to force the Industrials and the San Diego Captains into a decisive Game 7. The left-handed Visco threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball in a must-win situation against San Diego, leading the way for the 7-3 Pittsburgh win. The winner of the series will advance to the World Series.

Lew Ward hit a bases-clearing triple off Mark Pike in the bottom of the second, which put the Industrials in front, 3-0. Ward had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"Dennis gave us a very blue collar effort," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Allegheny Field in Pittsburgh.
