Raucous Wolverine Field Crowd Propels Wolverines to 5-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
The Detroit Wolverines took down the Baltimore Lords by the score of 5-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Divisional Round. The largest share of the credit belongs to Detroit starter Juan Rodriguez, who threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the second inning, but Rodriguez was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Baltimore trailing 2-0, Rodriguez retired James Pendleton, who grounded out.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 4th , 1974 at Seton Hill Stadium in Baltimore.
