Detroit Takes 2-1 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Detroit Wolverines nearly wasted a strong game from starter Scott Litwak, but were saved by some timely hitting in a 9th inning walk-off win over the Montreal Habitants today.

Litwak pitched well in the 4-3 win at Wolverine Field. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The win allowed Detroit to seize a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Mike Christoph was the walk-off hero for Detroit. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolverines pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was jumping at the end," Christoph said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
