Lords Clip Wolverines, 3-2, in DR Contest
|
The Baltimore Lords and the Detroit Wolverines will take the Divisional Round to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Lords beat the Wolverines, 3-2, at Wolverine Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Baltimore right-hander Nate Summers had a big role in the win. He threw 8.1 innings of 1-hit ball.
Summers was effective against the Wolverines, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Detroit to just 1 run on 1 hit over 8.1 innings.
"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Summers after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
