Habitants Heading to League Championship Series
|
The Montreal Habitants "bent but didn't break" against the Detroit Wolverines in the Divisional Round.
That's according to Joe Rafferty of Montreal, who was named series MVP.
"Our guys faced adversity and overcame it. This series wasn't easy, but we stuck to our game and made it work," he said.
Montreal won the final game by a 4-2 count and the series 4-2.
Rafferty's MVP performance included hitting .389 with a .421 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Montreal Habitants don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Francisco Seagulls - Houston Drillers series. San Francisco leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
