Trailing by a game in the League Championship Series, Marty Arnold was ready for his start.

The right-hander turned in a performance for the ages at San Diego Sporting Complex, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Chicago Traders to victory in Game 4 of the League Championship Series. Arnold held the San Diego Captains to 2 hits and no walks, while striking out 7. The win brought Chicago into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Arnold delivered a quality start for Chicago. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 9 innings of work.

"I made a lot of good pitches," said Arnold. "I was right where I wanted to be."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Diego Sporting Complex in San Diego.
