Burros Take 2-1 Lead with 9-3 Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of third baseman Alex Martinez, the Denver Burros got a road win against the Pittsburgh Industrials, 9-3, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. Martinez was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk for the Burros, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

With two out in the top of the second, Keith Williams barreled up a changeup from John Fagan. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Burros in front, 4-0.

"We did a lot of things right," said Williams.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Allegheny Field in Pittsburgh.
