The Chicago starter rose to the occasion at San Diego Sporting Complex, leading the Traders to a crucial 8-2 victory over the San Diego Captains. Crawford threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball as the Traders won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Crawford went the distance for Chicago, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5.

"I was determined to go the distance," said Crawford.
