Washington rode a good effort from starter Bill Blevins to beat the Milwaukee Dairymen at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The final score was 3-1. The Dairymen, now 7-14, continue their inauspicious start.

One of the key players for the Eagles was right fielder Mike Lockhart, who drilled a double in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, Lockhart went 2 for 4 with a double.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Milwaukee skipper Brandon Dudley, "and it cost us."
