San Francisco Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
|
Starter Ray Heath was sensational for the San Francisco Seagulls in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Denver Burros in Game 2 of the World Series. Heath pitched well, but San Francisco picked up the win to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Heath threw well for San Francisco, thwarting the Denver offense. The right-hander tossed 116 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Heath.
Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Mission Field in San Francisco.
