The Pittsburgh Industrials took on the Denver Burros at Gates Crescent Park.

Pittsburgh catcher Terry McClellan played a vital role in his team's 9-2 conquest of Denver. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Pittsburgh. The winning pitcher was fan favorite Jeff Munoz. He tossed 124 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits.

With Pittsburgh leading 5-2 in the top of the eighth, McClellan hit a fastball from John Suozzo for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Industrials ahead, 8-2.

"They took it to us," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.

Denver, with the loss, is still a robust 14-6.
