The San Francisco Seagulls are one game away from a sweep after downing the visiting Denver Burros at Mission Field, 9-6. Seagulls right fielder Jose Sosa was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. San Francisco now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Series.

A key moment came with no one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Sosa hit a curveball from Mel Hartman for a 2-run home run, putting San Francisco up, 2-0.

"The team always comes first," Sosa told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mission Field in San Francisco.
