Northmen Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The 7-4 Twin Cities win over Los Angeles was due in large part to Emil Wathen. The Northmen third baseman went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Pobladores, now 7-13, continue their poor start.
Wathen had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 1-1 fastball from Whistlestop Meadows, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Northmen a 7-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Wathen.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Wathen.
