Generals Win at Home, 5-2
|
The Atlanta Generals beat the Montreal Habitants, 5-2. Atlanta starter Scott Dubyak pitched a gem. The Generals raised their record to 13-7.
Don Martinez dealt the Habitants a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Atlanta leading 1-0, Martinez hit a 0-1 sinker for a 2-run single.
"Scott went out and did what we needed," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
