Emeralds Handle Atlanta, Snag 4-3 Win
|
Seattle Emeralds starter Mike Harris found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Atlanta Generals. Harris got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Generals fall to 8-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 1974 season.
Don Boatwright had a direct impact on the outcome. Boatwright contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 4-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Boatwright.
