Milwaukee Drops Another One, 7-4
|
Despite a great performance by Milwaukee third baseman Gary Branan, the San Diego Captains defeated the Dairymen by the score of 7-4 at San Diego Sporting Complex. Branan went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Ed Prater wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save. The Dairymen fall to 7-13 and continue their wobbly start to the 1975 season.
The Captains got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Reid Rodgers. For the game, Rodgers was 1-2 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 6th double of the season gave San Diego a 4-3 lead.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
