Knickerbockers Snag 4-2 Win
The New York Knickerbockers earned a win at Knickerbocker Stadium, stopping the Philadelphia Quakers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Tim Fried played a big role in his team's success. Wayne Houston notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. The Quakers fall to 6-14 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 1976 season.

Bob Underwood hit a run-scoring double off Art Wohlt in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Knickerbockers in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Underwood had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
