Koenig Now 2-2 Following 5-2 Win
|
Cincinnati and Pittsburgh duked it out and the Packers came out victorious.
Cincinnati Packers starter Erv Koenig pitched well against the Pittsburgh Industrials at Allegheny Field, leading his team to a win, 5-2. The Packers, now 7-15, have not found much traction so far in 1973.
Koenig delivered a quality start for Cincinnati. The 6-foot-1 left-hander allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.
"Erv is good at sticking to his strengths," said Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch.
