Burros Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Cincinnati Packers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Armando Estrada into a win. Instead, the Denver Burros prevailed, 6-4. Estrada threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Joe Hamby finished to wrap up his 5th save. The Packers fall to 8-13 and continue their uneven start to the 1975 season.
Alejandro Rebolledo came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.
