Hawks Take Home 2-1 Win Over Houston
Chicago turned a good effort from starter Kevin Edwards into a win over the Houston Drillers at Hyde Park Stadium. The Hawks won the game, 2-1. The win puts Chicago at 8-12.

The Hawks got a big at-bat from left fielder Marv Haynes. For the game, Haynes went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-1 lead.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Edwards.
