Generals, Ovitt Silence Baltimore, 4-0
|
Atlanta Generals pitcher Gary Ovitt really got it done at Atlantic Station Field in a 4-0 shutout victory over the Baltimore Lords, shutting them down on 4 hits.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Ovitt said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 24-year-old issued 1 walk and had 5 strikeouts in the Generals win.
Up to now Ovitt has recorded a record of 4-0. In 5 starts he has fanned 25 batters in 41 innings with a 1.32 ERA.
