Habitants Get One-Run Win at Atlanta
|
Ralph Weintraub, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in innings pitched with 37.1, pitched well, but the Atlanta Generals still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Montreal Habitants at Atlantic Station Field. The Habitants keep rolling, raising their record to 18-3.
Billy Groh came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
After the game, Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
