The Chicago Hawks picked up a win at Bluff Park, knocking off the Dallas Wranglers, 6-3. Starting pitcher Kevin Edwards played a key role in the triumph. Edwards, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Getting the save was Gary Ingram, his 1st.

Chicago center fielder Sergio Morales contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a forkball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the Hawks ahead, 5-0.

"We have a lot of confidence in Kevin," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.

The loss has the Wranglers at 11-10.
