Terriers Take Home 2-1 Win Over Baltimore
|
Kim Glanden, who finished 5th in the ABL in saves with 21 in 1968, never let the Lords get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Terriers to a win, 2-1. Tim Jepperson finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Baltimore, at 6-15, is off to a poor start in 1971.
With the game tied, 0-0, in the top of the seventh, Glanden had a key at-bat for Boston. With the bases loaded, Glanden hit a 2-run single off Denny Boyd, making the score 2-0, Terriers.
"Kim's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Boston manager Tim Hageman.
