|
Twin Cities Northmen starter Bob Freeland pitched his team past the Houston Drillers, 4-1. Freeland got the win, improving to 5-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Twin Cities goes to 14-8.
Twin Cities took a 2-1 lead on Jim Thorman's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Thorman hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Houston pitcher Andy Campbell visibly frustrated.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Thorman. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
