Generals Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win
|
Atlanta registered a win at Atlantic Station Field by beating the Seattle Emeralds, 4-3. Pitcher Bill Davis was one reason why the Generals triumphed. Getting the save was Steve Papa, his 2nd. Seattle drops to 11-9.
Joe Harrison, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1970 draft, helped out the Atlanta cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Bill is good at sticking to his strengths," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.
