Dairymen Stumble, Lose to Blockbusters
The Los Angeles Blockbusters met little resistance from the Milwaukee Dairymen, beating them, 11-2, at Blockbuster Stadium. Ed Laub led the way. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Los Angeles. The winning pitcher was Ralph Weintraub. He's now 1-0. He went 8.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits for the Blockbusters. Los Angeles, now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

With Los Angeles leading 7-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Laub came up to bat against Milwaukee pitcher Bob Boothe. Laub hit a cutter to left for a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season put the Blockbusters on top, 10-1.
