Burros Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Blockbusters, 4-3
|
Denver Burros starter Keith Williams was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 4-3. Earning his 1st save for Denver was Manny Esparza. The Burros, now 3-0, have stormed out of the gates.
Guillaume Moret was 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Denver. The 1966 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Cardell Franklin. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
