Burros Earn 7-5 Win Against Dairymen
The rain came, as predicted, but the Denver Burros and Milwaukee Dairymen were able to complete their ballgame.

The Denver Burros withstood a fine game by Milwaukee left fielder Larry Morford at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, to upend the Dairymen, 7-5. Morford was 3-6 with 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win gives Denver a record of 2-1.

The game was at a stalemate until pitcher Dick Scorza came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Milwaukee pitcher John Williams, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Denver on top, 6-5.

"Exciting game to play in," said Scorza. "Getting the win makes it even better."
