The San Francisco Seagulls picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, downing the Twin Cities Northmen, 7-3. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Jerry Patrick, who played a pivotal role in the win. The victory makes San Francisco 16-6, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 1975.
Had Scott Wagner not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Wagner hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Seagulls.
Said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
