Packers Suffer 8-5 Road Loss
Los Angeles Blockbusters starter Billy Duprey pitched a strong game against the Cincinnati Packers at Blockbuster Stadium, leading the Blockbusters to victory, 8-5. The Packers fall to 10-13 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1972 season.

Los Angeles took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, Oscar Gonzalez hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Blockbusters.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Duprey. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
