Lords Rally to Nose Past Atlanta
The Baltimore Lords weathered an outstanding game by Atlanta center fielder Matt Legrow to topple the Generals, 5-4. Legrow was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Larry Diego, who led the ABL in ERA with 1.73 in 1968, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Jose Pineda. With the win, Baltimore raised its record to 34-26.

The decisive blow was delivered by James Pendleton in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off top prospect Jose Pineda to win the game for Baltimore. The home crowd went nuts.

"A great game, a great day," said Pendleton about the win. "I can't complain."
