Generals Absorb 7-4 Loss at San Vicente Park
The Los Angeles Pobladores grabbed a win, 7-4, over the Atlanta Generals at San Vicente Park. Los Angeles catcher Darrell Martin went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Los Angeles, now 9-15, is off to a slow start.

Had Chuck Gunter not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Gunter hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Pobladores.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson.
