The Houston Drillers reigned over the Baltimore Lords in damp conditions.

Houston turned a good performance from starting pitcher Francisco Castro into a 2-1 triumph over the Baltimore Lords at Seton Hill Stadium. Castro got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 4 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Houston used the hitting of Don Martinez to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Drillers on top, 2-0. For the game, Martinez had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
