The Houston Drillers topped the Montreal Habitants, 6-3, in American Baseball League action at Sam Houston Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Danny Prentice. Prentice went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-0. The Habitants fall to 10-13 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Tony Barajas aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walk.
"I felt good up there," said Barajas. "I saw the ball well."
