St. Louis Slaps 4-1 Loss on Cleveland
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Bobcats and St. Louis Explorers get after it.
Pitcher Bob Trout was sensational for the St. Louis Explorers in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Cleveland Bobcats. Trout earned the win. Bernie Tate recorded the save for St. Louis, his 4th of the season.
Ken Osterhage, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1967 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for St. Louis in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Osterhage.
The Bobcats fall to 9-15.
