New York turned a good effort from starter Bruce Owen into a win over the Milwaukee Dairymen at Knickerbocker Stadium. The final score was 2-0. Picking up the save was Ollie Hundley, his 5th. The Knickerbockers, now 16-8, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Owen allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings for the Knickerbockers. He walked 2 and struck out 3.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Owen.
