Dairymen Suffer 5-3 Home Defeat
A good performance from left fielder Chris Hull helped the New York Knickerbockers defeat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-3. Hull went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Knickerbockers. Tim Fried, the winner, is now 3-2. He struck out 2 and walked 2 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. Wayne Houston earned the save, his 4th, for the Knickerbockers.

New York grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Hull hit a run-scoring double off Juan Mendoza. His 1st double of the season put the Knickerbockers out in front, 3-2.

"I felt good up there," said Hull. "I saw the ball well."

The defeat makes Milwaukee 11-14.
