On Road, Packers Top Bobcats, 4-2
|
Conditions were not ideal but Cincinnati and Cleveland were able to put their game in the books.
The Cincinnati Packers picked up a win at Lakefront Stadium, topping the Cleveland Bobcats, 4-2. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Joe Clabaugh. He played a principal role in the triumph. Brian Williams notched his 1st save of the season.
Frank Bohley hit a run-scoring triple off Myron Baird in the top of the fourth, which put the Packers in front, 1-0. Bohley had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Bohley. "I think we showed that here."
The victory makes Cincinnati 1-2.
