Cleveland starter Scott Dubyak kept the Cincinnati hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 10-2. Dubyak, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins with 19 in 1970, went the distance for Cleveland. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The victory makes Cleveland 2-1.

Ruben Galvan, who is a two-time All-Star, took Cincinnati hurler John Stoddard deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Bobcats on top, 3-0. In all, Galvan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
