Gerald Gross, despite pitching a good game, was disappointed in the outcome: a tough, 3-1, defeat for the Twin Cities Northmen at the hands of the Boston Terriers at Twin Cities Stadium. Twin Cities now is 11-13.

The Terriers had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Boston, with no one out. Twin Cities, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Mike McGurn dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he grounded out.
