Drillers Grind Out 2-1 Win
|
Rick McStay pitched a gem to lead Houston to victory over the Baltimore Lords, 2-1. The save was credited to Bill Switzer, his 5th. The win gives Houston a record of 13-11.
Don Martinez had a direct impact on the outcome. Martinez contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Houston up, 2-1.
"We were in it," said Baltimore manager Steve Read. "We just didn't score enough runs."
