Baltimore registered a win at Wolverine Field by beating the Detroit Wolverines, 6-2. Pitcher Pete Veirs was one reason why the Lords triumphed. Veirs yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 3-1.

Veirs had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth to put Baltimore in front, 3-1. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Detroit pitcher Scott Litwak.

"Pete made some big pitches when he needed to," said Lords manager Steve Read.

With the loss, Detroit falls to 17-7.
