Bob Madaras helped his team muscle past the Houston Drillers, 10-2. In the game, the Montreal shortstop went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Montreal used a well-timed hit by Frank Warnock to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Habitants ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Steven Palps.
