Bulls Rally to Nose Past Denver
The Kansas City Bulls and Denver Burros played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

In a low-scoring affair between the Kansas City Bulls and the Denver Burros, pitcher Tim McDonald was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kansas City left-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Bulls win. Dave Fields picked up the win in relief for Kansas City, while Mel Hartman took the loss. Bob Crosby nailed down his 7th save.

Bob Rawlins drew 1 walk for Kansas City. The four-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mel Hartman. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

Rawlins said his team "played with focus."

The win takes Kansas City to 14-10.
