Steve Coomes could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Dallas Wranglers lost, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Seattle Emeralds at Puget Field. Corey Spencer closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 1st save. Dallas is 9-17 after the loss.

Seattle took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 0-0, when Rob Sylvia hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Emeralds in front, 1-0.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Sylvia told the Seattle News.
