Terriers Score Late to Upend Northmen, 4-3
|
Gerald Gross pitched well, but the Twin Cities Northmen still lost the game, falling, 4-3, to the Boston Terriers at Twin Cities Stadium. Larry Alexander was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. Boston is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 8th win in 25 games.
Boston used the timely hitting of Don Bozza to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Terriers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Boston manager Jonah Placeholder said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
