Gibson Bewilders Emeralds in 1-0 Shutout
|
In an outstanding mound performance, Twin Cities Northmen starter Joe Gibson fired a complete-game shutout against the Seattle Emeralds at Twin Cities Stadium.
Gibson was the key to the 1-0 Twin Cities win. The 30-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 7 hits and no walks he allowed.
"7 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
To date this year, in 5 starts, Gibson has crafted a 3-2 mark with a 3.68 ERA.
