Habitants Lose to Hurons in Walk-Off
|
The Toronto Hurons received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Dave Hamilton, allowing them to shoot down the Montreal Habitants, 4-0. Now 10-14, the Habitants have not played well this season.
Toronto got a knockout punch from Steve Holley. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Dave pitched like a champ," said Toronto manager Jim Burns.
