Hurons Popped by Wranglers, 6-3
|
Dallas registered a win at Dominion Field by beating the Toronto Hurons, 6-3. Pitcher Barry Gilmore was one reason why the Wranglers triumphed. Gilmore got the win, improving to 6-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Dallas goes to 16-9 with the win.
Dallas used a well-timed hit by John Hammit to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Barry was throwing strikes, locating well," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
