Montreal Slaps 2-0 Loss on Baltimore
|
LaSalle Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.
The Montreal Habitants downed the Baltimore Lords, 2-0, at LaSalle Stadium. Stellar pitching by Lawrence Connor had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 10th in the ABL in wins with 3, handcuffed his opponent all game. The loss drops Baltimore to 16-8.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Max Waldon didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Baltimore trailing 2-0, Waldon retired John Balliet to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Waldon, with a wink.
