Richardson Shuts Out Dairymen
|
Jackie Richardson was in command in his outing against the Milwaukee Dairymen. He hurled the Brooklyn Bluebirds to a 2-0 shutout victory, yielded 2 hits and chalked up 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."
Richardson has made 5 starts, tossed 30.1 innings, struck out 24 batters and walked 17. His record is 3-2 with a 4.75 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .256 batting average.
