Dairymen Slap 4-3 Loss on Brooklyn
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen dealt the Brooklyn Bluebirds a 4-3 loss at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Dennis Adams was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dan Valenti, who is tied for 9th in the NBL in complete games with 1, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Picking up the save was Archie Sereni, his 3rd.
Dennis Thomas, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1974 draft, helped out the Milwaukee cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3.
"This was a good win," said Thomas.
The loss puts Brooklyn at 12-14.
