In a low-scoring affair between the Pittsburgh Industrials and the San Diego Captains, pitcher Dennis Visco was the difference between victory and defeat. The Pittsburgh left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Industrials win. San Diego drops to 15-11.
Pittsburgh used a well-timed hit by Alex Robinson to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Industrials ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Joe Mack.
