Captains Suffer One-Run Loss at Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Allegheny Field, knocking off the San Diego Captains, 4-3. Starting pitcher Dennis Visco played a key role in the triumph. Pittsburgh, now 16-10, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Pittsburgh right fielder Richie Lord contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 28th hit of the season and put the Industrials ahead, 4-1.

"Piling up wins will eventually take us to the promised land," said Lord.
