Northmen Lose Again, 2-1, to Habitants
|
The Montreal Habitants took Twin Cities pitcher Gerald Gross's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Twin Cities Stadium. The final score had Montreal getting past the Northmen, 2-1. Gross went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Eric Roe earned the save for Montreal, his 1st. The defeat makes Twin Cities 11-15.
Ed Hudson, who finished 5th in the ABL in RBI with 89 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hudson contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Montreal up, 2-1.
Hudson said his team "played with focus and determination."
