The San Francisco Seagulls topped the Detroit Wolverines, 4-3, in American Baseball League action at Mission Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Francisco pitcher Tim Stambaugh. San Francisco reliever Dan Wood was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Fred Harrison. Archie Sereni earned the save for San Francisco, his 7th.
